Sazerac

Considered one of the world's oldest surviving classic cocktail recipes and born in New Orleans. The Sazerac is an alluring mix of Jim Beam® Rye, bitters, sugar and a hint of absinthe and a twist of lemon peel.

  • Ingredients

    2 parts Jim Beam® Rye

    0.25 part sugar syrup

    2 dashes of Angostura bitters

    2 dashes Peychaud's bitters

    0.25 part absinthe (rinse)

    Method

    In an Old Fashioned glass, fill with ice and add absinthe. Stir to coat the inside of the glass and set aside. In a mixing glass, add Jim Beam® Rye, sugar and bitters over ice and stir. Discard ice from absinthe glass and strain cocktail into Old Fashioned glass. Garnish.
